Lead Actress, Marisol

Ms. Gaitán has signed a letter of intent, committing to play Marisol, one of the lead characters in SuperChicas.

Ms. Gaitán began her career at age 11 in the award-winning feature Innocent Voices and later made her US film debut in Trade from Lionsgate. That same year, she starred in Insignificant Things, for which she earned a nomination for an Ariel Award (Mexico’s Oscars). She is perhaps best known for the indie hit Sin Nombre, the first feature film from Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna’s production company, Canana Films. In addition to other high profile projects in Latin America, Ms. Gaitán most recently appeared as a series regular in ABC’s The River, executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
