In Partnership
The producers behind SuperChicas have established an official partnership with The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, a non-profit organization that serves more than 4 million youth worldwide. BGCA’s mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” Because the organization’s efforts align perfectly with the voice of SuperChicas, executives and staff were eager to partner with our project when we proposed it.
We are particularly interested in engaging with the organization’s Latino Outreach Initiative, which provides Clubs with effective strategies to reach, serve and empower Latino youth and families. The kids that BGCA serves are also part of our prime target audience and the organization’s leaders have committed to assist us in our grassroots marketing efforts.
We intend to engage BGCA’s marketing infrastructure, which includes a website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and newsletter. In addition to broadcasting press releases and updates, we are aiming to launch an online campaign (modeled after CNN’s “Heroes”) which invites submissions of kids who have made significant contributions to another person’s life: The Real-Life Superchica/Superchico Campaign. The campaign will reflect the film’s spirit of empowerment, community and heroism.
After completing SuperChicas, the producers dream of hosting pre-release screenings in some of BGCA’s 4000 Club facilities across the US, perhaps offering community-oriented workshops, for which the director and producer are trained.
